We are currently seeking an CFCE Family Engagement Worker who is responsible for supporting families with young children by facilitating engaging, developmentally appropriate programming for children from birth to age five. This role provides direct outreach to families, offering resources, referrals, and guidance as needed. This position plays an active role in promoting programs at community events, collaborating with local partners, and ensuring programming aligns with the Coordinated Family and Community Engagement (CFCE) grant requirements.

About the Role:
Location – Gloucester, MA
Schedule – this position is scheduled for 15 hours per week (hours subject to change based on the needs of the Center)
Rate – starting at $22.00 per hour based on education and experience (tiers set by PW4C)
WHAT WILL YOU DO? (not a complete list)
- Facilitate weekly, year-round playgroups for children from birth to age 5
- Provide families with information, resources, and referrals as needed
- Represent and promote programs and services at community events
- Collaborate with the program coordinator to develop parent and child programming in alignment with CFCE grant requirements and implement
- Participate in statewide meetings, as appropriate
- Administer the Ages and Stages Questionnaire® (ASQ) to support child development monitoring
- Maintain active partnerships with community organizations, including local libraries, Early Intervention programs, Housing Authorities, and others
WHAT DO YOU NEED?
Preferred: Associate’s degree or higher in a related field
Minimum of two year experience facilitating parent/child groups and/or parent education support programs
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
Ability to interact respectfully and effectively with families from diverse backgrounds
Functionally fluent in a language that is represented and needed within the program/role
Other Requirements:
- Successfully complete a pre-employment physical, provide verification of immunization to Head Start vaccine mandate.
- Maintain licensor background check requirements
- Possess valid MA driver’s license and proof of auto insurance, dependable vehicle and acceptable driving record
