Education Supervisor - Head Start

We are looking for a Head Start Education Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Head Start center in Gloucester, MA. We are looking for a problem solver that works as a team player with other center staff and administration to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards. $35-38.15 an hour depending on credentials and experience
35 hours per week 48 weeks per year at our Emerson Ave location in Gloucester, MA
WHAT WILL YOU DO AS AN EDUCATION SUPERVISOR?
- Fosters positive relationships with internal and external constituents on behalf of Pathways
- Proactively problem solves issues of concern
- Ensures adequate classroom teacher coverage at all times
- Conducts monthly observations of classrooms (health, safety, education)
- Provides individual teacher support and gives feedback to teachers both verbally and in writing monthly supervisions
- Convenes monthly Lead Teacher meetings (in conjunction with Education Manager)
- Responsible for Performance Evaluations and assists with Individual Professional Development Plans for (teachers)
- Assists with planning and implementing trainings for teachers in conjunction with the Education Team
- Ensures that teachers follow work plans in conjunction with Education and Professional Development Manager’s timelines
- Supervises the development and implementation of lesson plans and ensures that teachers individualize for children and conduct regular child observations
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE AN EDUCATION SUPERVISOR?
- Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care Director II certification
- EEC Lead Teacher Preschool Certification
- EEC Lead Teacher Infant Toddler Certification (if location has infant and toddler classrooms)
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (at least 18 credits in early childhood) with at least 3 years’ experience as a lead teacher
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role
- Must comply with all state and federal requirements
- Must complete and satisfy background check protocols
