Education Coach

We are looking to hire an Education Coach to provide high-quality coaching, training and technical assistance to Head Start classroom teachers on best practices related to early learning standards. Experience working with and/or coaching adult learners, working with CLASS (Classroom Assessment Scoring System) and knowledge/understanding of Head Start philosophy and program performance standards. Rate 34.69 - 37.82 per hour 35 hours 44 weeks per year
Location – Gloucester, with frequent travel to Beverly and Salem
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Work with Education and Professional Develop Manager to develop and evaluate program Coaching Plan.
- Develop and utilize coaching practices as needed.
- Utilize Practice Based Coaching cycle components for the purpose of assessing needs, engaging in focused observations, and providing reflection and feedback in order to set goals and develop action plans together with teaching staff.
- Provide individualized on-site support for teaching staff through modeling, co-teaching, observing, and providing reading materials or other resources as needed.
- Work collaboratively with the Education Team to plan and present group workshops and trainings on relevant child development topics based on program data.
- Conduct and analyze program monitoring through CLASS and other observations. Provide teaching staff with feedback and recommendations based on outcomes.
- Provide curriculum coaching support to strengthen child outcomes.
WHAT DO YOU NEED?
Bachelors’ in Early Childhood Education, or degree in a related field with early childhood classroom experience.
Competence in extensive and accurate observation and documentation, including non-verbal observation.
Other Requirements:
- Successfully complete an employment physical
- Maintain licensor background check requirements
- Possess valid MA driver’s license and proof of auto insurance, dependable vehicle and acceptable driving record
